Troegs Brewing Co

About the Brewery

Tröegs Brewing Company, founded in 1996 by brothers Chris and John Trogner in Hershey, Pennsylvania, just west of Philadelphia, has become a staple in the craft beer community, known for its creativity and commitment to quality. The brothers were inspired by European brewing traditions but aimed to bring their own unique approach to the craft. Tröegs quickly gained a reputation for its distinctive and flavorful beers, with flagship offerings like the hoppy and complex Perpetual IPA and the rich, malty Troegenator Double Bock. These beers, along with their seasonal releases like Mad Elf, have helped Tröegs build a loyal following and establish itself as one of Pennsylvania’s premier craft breweries.

Tröegs’ success is rooted in its dedication to innovation and community. The brewery operates out of a state-of-the-art facility that includes a tasting room, restaurant, and barrel-aging program, allowing them to continually experiment with new styles and techniques. The brothers’ “Scratch Beer” series, a rotating lineup of small-batch experimental brews, showcases their relentless pursuit of new flavors and ideas. In addition to their brewing prowess, Tröegs is deeply committed to sustainability and local sourcing, using local ingredients whenever possible and engaging in eco-friendly practices. This combination of innovation, quality, and community focus has made Tröegs a beloved name in the craft beer world, both in Pennsylvania and beyond.
